Our History

In the late 1960s, the Bare family purchased a parcel of land and built a 2,500 brick building in the small town of China Grove in Rowan County, North Carolina. The Bare family wanted to provide the community with convenient location that offered high quality products at good value. Winfred Bare ran the store, with his son Bill, until his retirement. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, the business went through a period of expansion. The store grew, adding over 7,500 sqft of showroom, and over 6000 sqft of warehouse space.

In November 2012, Bill retired and sold the company to long time employee and friend, Michelle Pawlak. The Pawlak family now run the store, carrying on the traditions and practices established by Bill and his father. With a focus on product quality, low pressure showroom experience and customer service, we look forward to helping you with your home furnishing needs.

Our commitment to the people in our community and surrounding areas has created many long-standing relationships since the store opened; these relationships often span multiple family generations. They value the quality products, in-depth knowledge and our caring assistance to help them make informed decisions which fit their lifestyle.

We look forward to creating many more relationships for years to come.
